1. Jakie jest twoje ulubione miejsce w Albanii?
Eneda: Mogę polecić kilka pięknych wiosek na południowym wybrzeżu: Palace, Dhermi, Drimadhes, Jal, Himare, Ksamil, Sarande, Butrint. Jednak moim ulubionym miejscem, do którego zawsze wracam jest Manastiri i Shen Teodorit z plażą Gjipe. Jest to ciche miejsce z kryształową czystą wodą, które daje ci możliwość zrelaksowania sie w nienaruszonej dzikiej naturze.
2. Jakie jest tradycyjne jedzenie i picie w Albanii?
Eneda: Kuchnia albańska ulega greckim, tureckim i śródziemnomorskim wpływom. Każdy region ma inną tradycyjną potrawę, ale dania jak ‚Tave kosi me mish qingji’ (zapiekana wołowina w warzywach) lub ‚fergese me speca e melci’ (papryka z twarogiem i smażoną wątróbką) możesz spotkać w każdej albańskiej restauracji. Na południu kraju polecam zatrzymać się w Llogara i zjeść świeży owczy jogurt z miodem i orzechami, baraninę lub świeżą rybę. Typowym napojem jest Raki lub miejscowe piwo o nazwie Tirana lub Korca. Nie zapomnijcie także o deserze Trilece, jest to typowe albańskie ciasto.
3. Jak najlepiej zwiedzać Albanie?
Eneda: Niestety w Albanii transport publiczny nie jest zbyt dobrze rozwinięty. Sa minibusy, które zawiozą cię wszędzie, ale najlepszym sposobem poruszania się na południu to jest auto.
4. Jaki region najbardziej polecasz na wakacje i dlaczego?
Eneda: Tirana, ponieważ jest to nowe i stare miasto zarazem, z pięknymi kafejkami i restauracjami gdzie przebywa bardzo dużo młodych ludzi. Za to na południu mamy naturę z krystaliczną wodą oraz wieloma atrakcjami. Można wędrować po górach, podziwiać wodospady lub odszukać ukryte plaże. Nie może tu zabraknąć kiedyś greckiego a później rzymskiego miasta Butrint w Epirus.
5. Gdzie najlepiej się zatrzymać jako turysta?
Eneda: Najlepszym wyborem są prywatne apartamenty albo pokoje w rezydencjach w Himare lub Dhermi. Z tych małych wiosek możesz każdego dnia przemieszczać się samochodem w inne miejsca lub po prostu wypożyczyć kajaki bądź łodzie i udać się na poszukiwania sekretnych jaskiń lub niezaludnionych plaży. Aktywni ludzie mogą nurkować oraz poczuć dreszczyk emocji wspinając się na wysokie skały.
6. Na co powinniśmy uważać w Albanii?
Eneda: Ludzie generalnie są mili, czasami aż za bardzo. Jednak trzeba uważać na ceny w restauracjach i sprawdzać czy na rachunku wszystko się zgadza. Ogólnie zawsze powinno się mieć oczy szeroko otwarte. Najbardziej opłacalnie jest płacić rodzimą walutą – Lek. Drogi w górach na południu są dobre, ale kręte i trzeba uważać na albańskich kierowców, którzy jeżdżą bardzo nieuważnie.
7. Jaka rozrywkę polecasz młodym ludziom?
Eneda: Życie nocne na południu jest niesamowite. Jest tu bardzo dużo dyskotek, barów gdzie przy koktajlu i dobrej muzyce możesz spędzić zwariowaną noc. Najbardziej popularne kluby w Dhermi to Havana i Casablanca oraz nowo otwarta zbudowana w skałach dyskoteka Folie-Marina. Wymienione przeze mnie miejsca są nie tylko rozrywką w sobotnie wieczory, ale także można tam zjeść niedzielne obiady. Najbardziej polecam udać się do Albanii w okresie od maja do września z tym, że w sierpniu jest najwięcej turystów i trzeba apartamenty rezerwować z dużym wyprzedzeniem.

1. What is your favorite place in Albania?
Eneda: I can recommend a few beautiful villages on the southern coast: Palace, Dhermi, Drimadhes, Jal, Himare, Ksamil, Sarande, Butrint. However, my favorite place to which I always go back is Manastiri and Shen Teodorit with the Gjipe beach. It is a quiet place with crystal clear water, which gives you the opportunity to relax in intact wild nature.
2. What is the traditional food and drink in Albania?
Eneda: Albanian cuisine has been influenced by Greek, Turkish and Mediterranean ones. Each region has a different traditional dish, but the dishes such as ‚Tave kosi me mish qingji’ (roasted beef with vegetables) or ‚fergese me speca e melci’ (pepper with cottage cheese and fried liver) you can see in the menu of each Albanian restaurant. At the south of the country, I recommend staying in Llogara and eat fresh sheep’s milk yogurt with honey and nuts, lamb or fresh fish. A typical beverage is Raki or the local beer called Tirana and Korca. Do not forget about the dessert – Trilece, which is a typical Albanian cake.
3. How is it best to get around Albania?
Eneda: Unfortunately Albanian public transport is not well-developed. There are minibuses which will take you everywhere, but the best way to get around the south is by car.
4. Which region do you recommend the most for holidays and why?
Eneda: Tirana, because it is new and old city at the same time with beautiful cafes and restaurants, where you can meet a lot of young people. But in the south, there is nature with crystal clear water and numerous attractions. You can roam the mountains, admire waterfalls or explore hidden beaches. You cannot fail to visit once the Greek and later Roman city of Butrint in Epirus.
5. Where is it best to stay as a tourist?
Eneda: The best choice are private apartments or rooms in the Himare or Dhermi residences. From these small villages, every day you can get around by car or simply rent a canoe or boat and go on a search for secret caves or unpopulated beaches. Active people can dive and feel the thrill while climbing high rocks.
6. What should we watch out for in Albania?
Eneda: By and large, people are nice, sometimes even too much. However, you have to watch out for the prices in restaurants and check whether the bill is all right. Generally, you should always have your eyes wide open. It pays off the most to pay in the native currency – Lek. Mountain roads in the south are good but winding and you have to watch out for Albanian drivers who drive very carelessly.
7. What kind of entertainment do you recommend to young people?
Eneda: Nightlife in the south is amazing. There are innumerable clubs and bars where over a cocktail and good music you can spend a crazy night. The most popular clubs in Dhermi are Havana and Casablanca, as well as Marina – the newly opened club built on the rocks. The places I have mentioned are not just entertainment for Saturday nights, but also you can eat Sunday lunch there. The most recommended time to visit Albania is the period from May to September, but in August there are the most tourists and you have to book apartments well in advance.
